| Bio: | ![]() Moving ever deeper into his fifth decade on this planet, Our Hero (for it is he) looks askance at the approach of the half century and cocks a snook at it. He is entirely unsure what a snook is, but received wisdom is that they, like pistols at the OK Corral work best when cocked1. The hope is that unlike a cocked pistol, it doesn’t go off by accident. Currently a denizen of Whetstone, north London, he lived for slightly more than fifteen years, a bohemian existence in a two roomed garret in Clapham south London. The move, at the beginning of 2005, north of the river, took him about as far away as could be managed without leaving the metropolitan area. Prior to that, Our Hero had inhabited an address in Kensington with an esteemed SW7 postcode. The less said of that the better, for the area was more genteel than the actual abode. Despite a long residence in the capital, Our Hero was not born there: hailing instead from Her Majesty’s West Midlands; more particularly the rural shire of Shropshire. One day he would like to live there again, but finances are tricky things largely controlled by the whims and caprice of the Karma Pixies and they are a fickle bunch. At some point in the not too distant future, he has promised himself that he will get off his arse and a) try to write something of greater import than a Live Journal entry or biography and b) produce new artwork for the first time in a dog’s age and for an extended period to boot. Cunningly, however, he has not set a deadline, though he has acquired some of the tools necessary to undermine his laziness. Time, as they say, will tell. This then, is the biography of the man whose journal you have stumbled upon. Read and enjoy or ignore and move on as you see fit. You have not been charged for reading this and no animals or celebrities were harmed in its production. Oh yes, and Jimmy cracked corn and I don't care. Not in the slightest. Now sit back and enjoy: "In 1972 a crack commando unit was sent to prison by a military court for a crime they didn't commit. These men promptly escaped from a maximum security stockade to the Los Angeles underground. Today, still wanted by the government, they survive as soldiers of fortune. If you have a problem, if no one else can help, and if you can find them, maybe you can hire the A-Team." 1To cock a snook: idiomatic phrase of defiance meaning “to thumb one’s nose”. Quite why thumbing a nose is a gesture of defiance is anyone’s guess. I suppose that like many things in life, it’s all in the wrist action. ![]() What rating is your journal? brought to you by Quizilla Hey my brutha, can I borrow your games, computers, DVD, xbox, playstation, gamecube, anime, laptops, pdas, and comics? No my brutha, you must buy your own. Click Here George Harrison I've heard how some people, have said that I've changed That I'm not what I was How it really is a shame The thoughts in their heads, Manifest on their brow Like bad scars from ill feelings they themselves arouse So hateful of anyone that is happy or 'free' They live all their lives, without looking to see The light that has lighted the world It's funny how people, just won't accept change As if nature itself - they'd prefer re-arranged So hard to move on When you're down in a hole Where there's so little chance, to experience soul I'm grateful to anyone, that is happy or 'free' for giving me hope while I'm looking to see The light that has lighted the world ====================== ![]() Give Peace A Chance John Lennon, 1969 ![]() John Peel 1939-2004 | ||||
